Waltons & Memory for Teachers
Walton Garden Buildings are very proud to be in partnership with Memory4Teachers. The campaign is offering the opportunity for every teacher in the UK to be equipped with a memory stick- a resource which will enable easier transportation of vital documents for home and school use. The memory stick also contains shared lesson plans and academic tips to help teachers with their ever-increasing workloads. Being part of this project gives us a chance to help teachers and educational support staff during the economical struggle and give something back to the community by engaging curriculum with support for teachers. We currently have special offers on log cabins and playhouses to all teachers for school or for home use.
Our aim and involvement in this venture is to raise awareness of the campaign as well as implement our own contribution. The ‘Walton’s Scheme’ aims to support the teacher with help and improvement to both home and working life. We also aspire to offer support in schools and for children by offering more hands-on, interesting lesson plans. With budgets cut, we believe our products combined with new lesson structures can help teachers educate kids on the value of Grow Your Own produce in a cost effective way.
We have selected nine products that we believe will benefit the home and working life of the teacher and their children. These products include the Premier Groundsman Apex Workshop, the Polycarbonate Greenhouse and the Greenacre Home Office Executive Log cabin for schools- the timber buildings can help provide much needed space for practical work or for storage and the greenhouse could provide an ideal resource for helping to teach children about natural science and growth. Our two lesson plans are centered on greenhouse work; there is a project dedicated to the growth of tomatoes and follow up lesson plans for learning to cook this newly-grown produce.
Products specially selected for teachers and educational support staff include the Premier Groundsman Combi Shed, the Helios summer house, the 6ft Pressure Treated Horizontal Weave Garden Fencing and the 5m x 4m Greenacre Retreat Log Cabin with Side Shed. These products are chosen to help stress the importance of relaxation in the home. The Combi Shed could make an excellent hobby room allowing teachers to release their stress through enjoyable activities, the Helios and Retreat Plus provide a sanctuary to retire to at the end of the day and the garden fence provides privacy to a garden, letting teachers relax after a stressful day, in their own space.
For your kids, we have selected the 6' x 6' Dutch Barn Playhouse and the Tower Playhouse with Slide. These have been chosen to encourage children to play outside and make up imaginative scenarios with their friends. The two playhouses provide your kids with an excellent way to get rid of excess energy.
