Pest XT Rat Poison Block Bait
This block bait from Pest XT has been specially designed to offer users an effective means of killing rats and mice. The block contains a mixture of various chemicals and poisons that work in unison to efficiently exterminate any unwanted rodents. The blocks feature a hole in the middle so that they can be secured to metal rods inside bait stations. The blocks are weatherproof and are perfect for use in all climatic conditions, even high moisture environments.
The blocks include bromadiolone, a well-renowned and successful anticoagulant that has been used commercially as a rodenticide since 1980. The bait blocks also have moisture-resistant properties, ensuring the blocks stay fresh in damp or wet conditions that rats and mice tend to favour. Due to these innovative properties, this bait block can be used both indoors and outdoors. The universal sizing also allows these blocks to be used in all bait stations.
The amount of bait required will depend on the size and type of infestation; for a low-level infestation of rats you should use 5-10 blocks in bait stations every 10 metres; for high levels, use 5-10 blocks in bait stations every 5 metres. You should visit the bait station 5-7 days after the beginning of the treatment and at least weekly after the treatment has finished. For mice, a low-level infestation requires 1-2 blocks in bait stations every 5 metres and high infestations require 1-2 block in bait stations every 2 metres. The bait stations should be visited at least 2-3 days after the beginning of treatment and weekly after the treatment has finished.
Rats and mice are largely nocturnal, and infestations can often be significantly larger than they appear. Large infestations will require multiple blocks to gain effective control. Check and top up bait regularly and dispose of any spoilt bait or rodent bodies in household waste, in line with the directions given on each pack.
Warning: Keep out of reach of children, away from food, drink and animal feed, and away from heat, sparks and open flames. When handling, wear suitable gloves and do not eat, drink or smoke. If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately.

Natural Wood Characteristicts
As wood is a natural material it may be affected by the following:
Shrinkage & Warping
The timber used in the construction of your garden building will have retained some of its natural moisture content. The moisture content of the timber will vary, depending upon prevailing environmental conditions, which will result in the components either naturally expanding or contracting. As the components dry out shrinkage may occur. A good waterproofing treatment from the start is the best protection to minimise the effect of moisture loss/intake.

Damp & Mould
During the winter months, cold and damp conditions can result in an increased amount of moisture within your garden building, especially when used infrequently. Condensation can form on the timber and other items stored within your garden building. If left this moisture is likely to cause mould and mildew. To prevent the build-up of moisture, we recommend leaving the door or windows of your building open from time to time, to allow the fresh air to circulate. We also advise against storing wet or damp items in your garden building as this will also increase the level of moisture in the building. If mould or mildew does start to form within your building we recommend using an anti-mould cleaner to remove it and to prevent it spreading, which if left untreated could permanantly damage your garden building.
Splits, Cracks & Knots
Small splits and cracks in some components or holes may appear where knots shrink and fall out. This will not affect the structure of your garden building however if you wish to fill them this can be easily done using any good quality wood filler

Sap
Sap is naturally occurring in wood and may appear in some boards of your garden building. If you wish to remove the sap, we advise waiting until it is dry and then using a sharp knife to carefully remove it. If the removal of the sap causes a hole in the timber, we recommend using a good quality wood filler to fill it.
Please be aware that these are natural timber characteristics which in most cases will not impact the structure or function of the garden building, therefore are not considered as product defects (as outlined within our Terms & Conditions).
