    Description

14 x 10 Premium Shiplap Reverse Apex Shed

Our 14 x 10 Premium Shiplap Reverse Apex Shed provides masses of space. Perfect for storing tools and other outdoor equipment, garden furniture and anything else you may want out of the home. Featuring two opening Styrene glazed windows this workshop is super light, creating a bright and welcoming internal space - the ideal conditions for working on your latest DIY project. The vast size of the interior is perfect for installing workbenches and additional tool storage. Whilst a large set of double doors provide easy access to your workshop and your belongings, allowing you to create the ultimate workshop for your needs.

Shiplap sheds are created by cladding which comprises of several timber boards stacked on top of one another to form a seamless panel. With a groove at the top of each board, this encourages water run off and ensuring the interior remains dry as well as air tight.

Our shiplap sheds come with a tongue and groove roof and floor. Hard-wearing and robust, this flooring will easily withstand daily use, such as being utilised as a workshop, and is the ideal option for storing heavier items.

In addition, our shiplap sheds are modular in design. This means you can place the doors and windows in any position to suit you and your garden. Need the door right at the end of the shed? No problem! Want the windows all along one side? That’s easy!

Shiplap sheds from Waltons are manufactured from thick internal framing, meaning your shed will stand sturdy, tall and proud for many years to come.

    Customisable Layout

Available in multiple sizes, our Shiplap sheds are versatile and customisable. Our shiplap sheds and workshops feature a modular design, allowing you to customise the placement of doors and windows to your liking and garden layout. Whether you prefer the door positioned at the end of the shed or windows lining a single side, anything is possible.

    Apex Roof

With a timeless apex roof, this shed will fit effortlessly into the style and design of any outdoor space. Thanks to its pitched design, it helps create a sense of openness and height inside, meaning you can maximise storage space  without it feeling cramped or claustrophobic.

    All Fixtures and Fittings

High quality roofing felt is supplied to protect your garden shed from the elements and provide longevity. In addition to this, all fixtures and fittings are supplied as standard, including our comprehensive product instructions helping you install your new shed as quickly and easily as possible.

    Security

This garden building comes complete with Z-braced doors and hasp and staple lock, complete with additional pad lock giving you peace of mind and protection.

    Shiplap vs. Overlap

Overlap and Shiplap are essentially two different types of shed cladding. Cladding is simply the covering of your building. Overlap cladding is in the name, the boards overlap one another to create a traditional and rustic look. The overlapping design allows rainwater run-off and ensures your belongings are kept dry from the rain. This watertight design will protect from the wet British weather, however overlap cladding isn’t airtight. This means your shed could be susceptible to draughts and moisture.

Shiplap cladding consists of multiple boards of timber which create a flush panel. Shiplap cladding features a recess at the top of the individual boards which helps water run-off, offering protection against the elements. Not only is shiplap cladding watertight like overlap cladding, but it also has the added benefit of being airtight, meaning belongings are much less at the risk of draughts and dampness. This means shiplap sheds are an ideal choice if you intend on spending time in your shed, as a workshop for example, or are planning to store items that could not risk coming into contact with any moisture. Another added benefit is its aesthetically pleasing smooth exterior, coupled with smooth interior panels, creating a high standard of finish both on the inside and outside of the building. This gives a more premium feel to your garden.

    Important Information

    What does Dip Treated mean?

During our manufacturing process, we dip treat our garden sheds. This involves applying a water based colourant to your garden building, protecting your shed whilst it is in storage and transit. However, it is important to note that this treatment is not a preservative. Therefore, your garden building will still require a high-quality timber preservative and waterproofing top coat as soon as possible after construction.

Where can I find the exact measurements of my garden shed?

Before purchasing your new garden shed be sure to check the specific measurements of its size in the Specification section of the product listing. As often in product titles, we round up measurementsto make it easier for you to find your perfect garden building.

How will my new garden shed arrive?

Your new garden shed will be supplied as a flat-pack DIY kit with full instructions. If you're taking on the project yourself, be sure to check out our Self-Installation and How to Build a Shed advice pages for plenty of helpful tips.

We strongly advise if you are planning on using a third party installer to construct your log cabin that you do not book their services until you receive and are happy with your garden building. As we do not cover any third party cost in the instance of a failed delivery or a damaged item preventing installation.

Please note that this shed has been dressed to look its very best in our product images. Any accessories or fixtures featured are not supplied with this garden building. Also, unless our Ready Painted and Installation Service is selected, all of our garden sheds are delivered unpainted.

Does my new garden shed come with any guarantees?

As standard, this garden shed includes a 1 year Manufacturers guarantee, as well as a 10 Year Anti-rot Guarantee* Just make sure to follow the product instructions and our manufacturers recommendations and your guarantee will be good to go.

What does my 10 Year Anti-rot Guarantee cover?

All of our Dip Treated garden buildings benefit from our 10 Year Anti-rot Guarantee. This will cover your garden building against fungal decay as long as the conditions of the gurantee have been followed.

These conditions include treating your new garden building with a high-quality timber preservative and waterproof top coat.Treatments of this sort should be applied as soon as your garden building has been constructed, and reapplied annually thereafter. This will enable you to maintain your 10 Year Anti-rot Guarantee and will keep your garden shed in tip-top condition!

Please note that our 10 Year Anti-rot Guarantee does not cover your garden building from the movement of timber that takes place over time. This includes; the twisting, warping and splitting of timber.

For more information on our 10 Year Anti-rot Guarantee please refer to our Terms and Conditions.

Does my new garden shed require planning permission?

We work hard to design all of our garden buildings to adhere to the planning permission guidelines. However, we cannot guarantee that planning permission will not be required. Therefore, before constructing your garden building we advise checking with your local authorities.

What base do I require for my new garden shed?

A flat, level base is essential when building your new garden shed. We recommend the following bases; concrete, slab paving, ground-level bearers or a wooden frame.

Prior to building your garden shed be sure to check your base is level in both directions. If the base of your shed is not level when it is constructed it will cause the building to twist and warp with the natural movement of the timber. Therefore, it is really important to adjust your base accordingly to achieve this before constructing your garden building.

For more information on how to build a suitable base take a look at our handy guide. - How to Build a Shed Base

How do I care for my new garden shed?

To ensure your garden shed stands the test of time its important to follow the guidance outlined in your buildings product instructions and Manufacturers Recommendations.

We have also created these super handy Maintenance Guides to help you take care of your shed. They are full of our expert advice and useful tips so you can enjoy your shed for years to come!

However, if you do need any further support, don't worry we are on hand to help. Just give our friendly Customer Service Team a call on 0800 029 1000.

How do I care for my garden buildings Styrene windows?

A clear film is used to protect your Styrene windows. Once your shed is installed and treated this will need to be removed. This can be done by simply scoring around the edge of the window and peeling back the plastic covering.

The windows of our garden buildings are designed to fit well. However, over time due to the natural movement of the timber small gaps can occur. To prevent this from occurring make sure to seal your Styrene windows with a silicone sealant.

To see exactly how to do this, take a look at our Protect Your Shed - Silicone Window Sealant video.
