I love my shed photo competition results

We asked you to show us a sheddie picture and tell us why you love your shed. Over 100 of you did just that, and here’s the winning entry, along with a few special mentions.

The winner

The winning photo in the competition is this fine entry from Clare, with her much-loved garden building. She loves her summerhouse because:

“...it's a haven to us all where we can play music, games, read, paint or have a coffee with friends. We all put so much work into it. It has electricity, with a little fridge and heater so we can use it all year round. It's the perfect place to escape to for a little peace and quiet.”

They’ve won the garden store, which will be winging its way to them as we write! Well done Clare, and thanks for taking part.

Honourable mentions

Of course, there were dozens of wonderful entries, and it was hard to choose a final winner. We have to give an honourable mention to some of the other entries. These guys win a Waltons ‘Shed load of tea’ mug:

Mark’s bespoke storage shed

Waltons 'Love my shed' photo competition honourable mention
"It's strong and has a beautiful Welsh slate Pent roof with extra wide door for me to store my Mobility Scooter, Moped, Wheelchair and 2 wheel electric scooter so I can quickly get out and about knowing they are safe and secure when not in use."

Kev’s decked playhouse

Waltons 'love my shed' photo competition honourable mention 2
"My children love it. It's a Wendy House, a cafe, a home, a school, a fire station, a garage, a castle, an island, a battle ship, an aeroplane and anything else they can think of. Also while they're playing in there I can get some serious gardening done!"

Alasdair’s punky playhouse

"I love our playhouse because the kids love it! It gives them a retreat to play together in away from the house, in a clean decked environment, with lots of plants surrounding them to add interest/excitement. Their perfect hideaway from "boring" parents!!"

Invisible sheds

Some entrants wanted to enter the patch of garden where they’d put a shed, rather than a picture of a shed. Here’s a couple of our favourites, who also win a Waltons mug:

This shed-ready space...

Waltons 'I love my shed' photo competition - invisible shed 1
"There is so much I could do with my garden with a new shed. The "Dead Shed" (only kidding) was my old garage but the space is simply begging for a new shed."

Phil’s ‘proposed site of shed’ deck

Waltons 'I love my shed' photo competition - invisible shed 2
"As you can see, I have no shed but this is the space I have reserved for it to grace my new project."
