We offer a wide range of sheds in this size, including options constructed from overlapping timber or shiplap cladding – see our guide to timber cladding for the pros and cons of each.

10 x 8 garden shed

Our collection of 10 x 8 garden sheds features designs with pent or apex roofs, gable-opening double doors, single doors and side entrances. If you’re looking for a medium-sized shed, you’ll find just what you need here. If you’re in the market for something a little smaller, we recommend our 8 x 6 sheds which are perfect for more compact gardens. For extra information to help you decide which shed is right for you, check out our shed buying guide.

Garden sheds for storage

If you’re interested in a basic garden storage unit, a 10 x 8 plastic shed could be just what you need. We also recommend our overlap timber sheds, featuring robust panels made from 8mm slats. The generous overlap creates a watertight barrier that helps with rain run-off and keeps your tools and equipment dry and secure. For more complete protection, we also offer shiplap sheds that use 12mm shaped tongue and groove boards to create a flush, airtight and watertight finish. Shiplap sheds are also perfect if you intend to use your building as a workroom or to store more valuable items.

Garden sheds for sale

With a garden shed from Waltons, you get plenty of options for customising your purchase to meet your requirements. We offer a wide variety of door configurations and allow you to decide where you want your windows. A colour treatment service, different roof coverings, a wooden base and installation service are also available at extra cost. All our sheds come with a 10-year anti-rot guarantee, our timber comes from sustainable sources and is responsibly sourced, and our manufacturing facility is right here in the UK, ensuring high-quality, and keeping transport emissions to a minimum.

What size base do I need for a 10x8 shed?

Your shed base should be at least a little larger than your shed. However, if you want to bolt your shed down, or if you want a sturdy, level surface around the shed for ease of access and maintenance, consider a wider, longer base.

How much concrete for a 10x8 shed base?

To work out how much concrete you’ll need, use this equation (measurements are in metres): slab depth x slab width x slab length = amount of concrete in cubic metres. Add another 10% just in case – it’s better to have too much concrete than not enough! It’s best to pour a base 100mm thick for a 10x8 or larger shed (or if you’re building on clay, or intend to store very heavy items). Follow our comprehensive guide on how to build a concrete shed base and learn how to create a stable base for your new shed.

How can I damp proof my shed?

Check the roof and walls regularly for any weather damage that could lead to water ingress. Make sure your shed is well ventilated, and apply wood treatment yearly to timber sheds to guard against damp. Installing insulation helps to maintain a steady temperature, discouraging condensation build-up. Heating and dehumidifying devices can help to keep a shed's interior dry and cosy.
