Take some inspiration from this list and do something in your garden to make it stand out! 1. The Garden of Cosmic Speculation, Dumfries, Scotland. 

The Garden of Cosmic Speculation This garden was designed by Charles Jencks and is located at his home in Dumfries, Scotland. This garden was inspired by mathematics and science; it features asymmetry, curves and artificial symmetry.

This garden is usually closed to the public but is open for one day a year to raise money for the Maggie's Centres a cancer charity named after Charles Jencks late wife. 2. Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, Minnesota, United States.

The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden was opened in 1988 and today has 40 permanent sculptures designed by world famous artists.

This garden most famous sculpture is the Spoonbridge and Cherry designed by husband and wife Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen. This garden is open to public all year round and features a large indoor greenhouse and many landscaped flower gardens. 3. Kenroku-en Garden, Ishikawa, Japan.

This garden is famed for its beauty and is stunning in all seasons. This garden has a lot of history and was first created in the 1620's. Kenroku-en Garden features one of the oldest fountains in Japan which runs purely on natural pressure. This calming garden features water and simple planting for a traditional look.   4. Butchart Gardens, Canada. 

Butchart Gardens, Canaga Butchart Gardens is located in the British Columbia area of Canada. It is world famous and has breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

The gardens are spread over an area of 50 acres and features stunning, colourful flower beds. The gardens also features some stunning fountains and is open to the public all year round. The winter months are just as beautiful as the summer months as the gardens plants specially for the colder months. 5. Yuyuan Gardens, China.

Yuyuan Garden is believed to be built over 400 years ago during the Ming Dynasty. It has a traditional Chinese style and features ponds, dragons and rock gardens. This gardens has been restored many times during the past 400 years and is open to the public all year round.
